Start with the right conversation.

Seven reasons people write to us, and what happens next in each case. Pick the one that fits and you will reach the desk directly, not a queue.

01

A mandate

You have live exposure and a question that needs answering on your asset, on your timeline.

Thirty minutes, not a proposal. We map your situation, your exposure and your timeline, and tell you whether our work is the right fit. If your question needs investigative work we do not do, we say so and point you to who does it properly.

02

Access to the work

You want the analysis, the dossiers and the registers, without an engagement.

No conversation needed. Subscriptions start at €50 a month, and the explainer library is open to everyone with no account. Enterprise seats for a team are arranged directly.

03

Press

You are working on a story about the partnership, the corridor or the reserve.

We speak on the framework and its implementation, on the record, and we work to deadline. Tell us your outlet, your angle and when you file.

04

A correction or right of reply

You or your organisation has been named in something we published.

Identify the content and the passages you contest. We acknowledge receipt and respond within the applicable legal time limits. Where a correction is established it is published visibly and dated. We do not quietly amend, and invoking a right of reply does not require a lawyer.

05

A document or a tip

You hold a document, or know of one, that bears on the partnership, the reserve or the corridor.

We accept documents and tips, and assess each against the public record before anything is written. Nothing is published on a single unverified submission, and no submission is acknowledged publicly. Source protection applies: we do not name the person who sent us a document, and we do not confirm to any third party that a submission exists.

Write first with a one-line description of what you hold, not the material itself. We will tell you whether it is within scope and open a secure channel before you send anything. Do not attach confidential material to a first email.

06

An LOI or a tender consortium

You are assembling a bid, an LOI or a consortium, and you need the partnership framework read properly inside it.

We work as the framework specialist alongside the parties who do the rest: counsel, technical advisers, the lead sponsor. That means reading the designation and ownership tests against the structure being proposed, tracking the obligation clock a bid depends on, and saying plainly where the public record does not support a claim a consortium wants to make.

We do not originate deals, place parties or take a position in the outcome. Fees are professional fees only, never success-linked, which is what lets the read be usable by every party at the table.

07

Working with us

You want to join the desk, or to be considered for contributor work.

We hire rarely and by demonstrated work rather than by CV. Send one piece of your own written analysis, published or not, with a note on which coverage area it sits in. Congolese and francophone applicants are particularly encouraged.

We do not respond to vendor pitches, link-building offers or generic partnership approaches.

Before you write

What we will and will not do.

  • We work on one framework. The US-DRC Strategic Partnership and its direct implications, not generic Africa consulting. If your question sits outside it, we will say so on the call.
  • We do not run investigations of individuals, place sources, originate deals or facilitate transactions. We analyse where the public record ends.
  • Every engagement is confidential and under NDA. Nothing a client tells us appears in published work.
  • An engagement buys no editorial influence. No right of review, no priority of access, no right to delay or withdraw a publication or a rating.
  • Do not send confidential material in a first email. Wait until an NDA is in place.

Or write here

One form, routed to the right desk.

If your mail client blocks the links above, or you would rather not use email, this reaches the same place. Nothing here is a public comment.

A few lines is enough. If a decision or a deadline is driving this, say when.

Do not attach or paste confidential material here. If your enquiry needs it, say so and we will open a secure channel first.

What happens to what you send is set out in the privacy policy.
Not sure which

Access, or a mandate?

Access gets you the analysis. An engagement gets you the answer to your question, on your asset, on your timeline. If you are not sure which you need, start with the call.
