Sibéka was judicially dissolved in Belgium in December 2023. It still holds 20 percent of MIBA, the Congolese state diamond producer. That stake has outlived three owners and one death certificate, and its percentage never changed once.

On 27 July 2026, MIBA sent its minority shareholder a subscription bulletin: 27.508 billion Congolese francs, about twelve million dollars, into a FirstBank DRC account by 27 August, or lose its preferential rights and watch 20 percent fall to roughly five. The deadline passed. The day before it did, the minority’s counsel filed at the Tribunal de commerce de Kinshasa-Gombe.
