Monday Briefings
March 2026
Weekly virtual closed-door briefings on the US-DRC Strategic Partnership & Other DRC events.
Mondays 18h00 Paris. Vetted access.
Virtual | Private invitation. Apply for access.
Each week, the DRC produces transactions, reforms, court rulings, sanctions actions, security shifts, and government moves that materially change the operating environment. Most investors and counsel see them weeks late, in fragmented form, through the wrong filter.
The Ascendance Briefing closes that gap.
One hour, virtual, fifteen institutional attendees maximum, Chatham House Rule.
Each Monday at 18h00 Paris, we walk through the week’s brief and look ahead at what the new week holds. The agenda is anchored in the brief delivered the prior Friday. The discussion follows the news cycle. When a Mauritius vehicle takes a brewery off a global major, when the US-DRC SPA JSC moves on Article XII reform, when ARSP rewrites subcontracting rules, when a presidential security force formalizes resource control, when sovereign debt issuance shifts the fiscal frame, when the conflict map moves in North or South Kivu, the session reflects it.
The room is for investors trying to read the SPA implementation curve before it prices in. Operators sizing entry, exit, or scale against a regulatory environment that does not move on Western corporate timelines. Counsel evaluating SAR designations, QSP eligibility, and the gap between what the agreement says and what the ministries actually do. Policy and DFI staff are calibrating against the version of the SPA that Kinshasa is delivering, not the version that was signed in Washington.
The room is not for anyone looking for confirmation of what they already think. Every session ends with the things we still do not know and the verifications underway.
The brief is forward-looking by design. The session is where the room argues with it.
